Security Guard, Suspect Dead After Machete Attack at Lekki IMAX Cinema

Two people reportedly died after a machete- and knife-wielding man allegedly attacked security personnel at IMAX Cinemas in Lekki, Lagos, on Friday night, August 29. Eyewitnesses said the man attempted to enter the premises but was stopped by guards. Police said he allegedly stabbed one guard to death and injured another before being mobbed by people at the scene. The Lagos Police Command said the cinema’s Chief Security Officer is in custody as investigators seek CCTV footage and work to identify anyone else connected to the incident.
