Tinubu Says He Is ‘Cleaning Up’ Mess Left by Atiku and Others Amid Hunger Debate
President Bola Tinubu said he was “cleaning the mess” left by Atiku Abubakar and other former leaders, as he addressed complaints about hunger at an APC rally in Port Harcourt on Saturday. He also accused Atiku of using state resources for personal benefit while serving as vice president, pointing to the university Atiku established during that period. Tinubu praised Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his political decisions and support for the APC. He said he had intervened during the political crisis in Rivers and thanked Fubara for showing maturity and respect for elders. Fubara publicly backed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid and pledged that Rivers State would deliver three million votes for him. The rally took place at Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, with APC leaders, governors and supporters in attendance.
