Osun Governorship Poll: Coalition Alleges IReV Hacking, Seeks Independent Investigation
A civil society coalition has alleged that the August 15, 2026 Osun governorship election was manipulated in favour of Governor Ademola Adeleke before voting began. The group is calling on security agencies and the international community to investigate the claims independently. The coalition alleged that hackers, working with technical staff of the electoral body, altered results transmitted to IReV. It claimed that figures on some EC8 result sheets differed from the results uploaded to the portal, particularly in Ede North, Ede South and Egbedore local government areas. The group said it plans to submit a petition to security agencies and urged dissatisfied parties to seek redress at the election tribunal. The allegations have not been independently verified.
