Armed Attacks in Niger and Kebbi States Claim Many Lives
Gunmen struck for hours in Bagna and Erena villages in Shiroro LGA of Niger State. They destroyed homes and overwhelmed local security. At least 20 people, including two community guards and a driver, were killed. Many residents fled to nearby towns for safety. In Kebbi State, suspected bandits attacked Debbe, Shabanda and other villages at night. Dozens of residents were killed and houses set ablaze. Police quickly responded, neutralising two attackers and recovering military uniforms. More security personnel have been deployed, and authorities urge the public to remain calm as investigations continue.
