Bandits Kill Five Farmers, Injure Five in Sokoto’s Rabah LGA

Suspected bandits killed five farmers and injured five others in separate attacks on Ghandi and Gidan Kare communities in Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The attacks reportedly occurred between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Sunday as residents headed to their farms. Three farmers were killed in Ghandi, while two others were killed in Gidan Kare, where some houses were also set ablaze. A security source said the assault may have been a reprisal after security operatives reportedly killed 15 suspected bandits at Maikujera two days earlier. Security personnel later deployed to the affected communities, but the attackers had fled. Police said they were yet to receive a full briefing on the incident.
