Edo Police Pay ₦39.8m Insurance Benefits to 21 Families of Fallen and Injured Officers
The Edo State Police Command has paid ₦39.87 million in insurance benefits to 21 families and next of kin of officers who died or were injured while on duty. The cheques were presented in Benin City under the Nigeria Police Force Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident Scheme. The Commissioner of Police said the payment was intended to support affected families and recognise the sacrifices of officers who served in the line of duty. Beneficiaries thanked the police authorities for the assistance.
