Lagos Security Agencies Unite at LSSTF Training to Tackle Emerging Threats

Lagos Security Agencies Unite at LSSTF Training to Tackle Emerging Threats — 1 of 4
1 / 4

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) held its fourth statewide inter-agency training in Lagos on 17–18 June 2026. Personnel from the Police, Correctional Service, Vigilante Group, Man O’ War, LASTMA, Nigerian Navy, Army, Fire Service, NDLEA, Immigration and other agencies gathered for shared learning. Dr Ayodele Ogunsan stressed that modern security challenges demand cooperation, trust and timely intelligence sharing. He noted no single agency can handle all threats alone and urged participants to transfer insights to their colleagues. A minute of silence honoured the late DCP Khan Salihu and other fallen heroes. Retired DIG Agboola Oshodi-Glover and ACP Oluwatoyin Kazeem highlighted the need for integrity, ethical conduct and ongoing training to stay ahead of evolving threats. Experts also warned about phishing and digital fraud, recommending strong passwords and two-factor authentication. The LSSTF continues to strengthen Lagos’s security framework through collaboration and professional development.

Not every agency listed might have equal resources or training needs, so results could vary across sectors.

True, resource gaps exist, yet shared sessions often spark the most useful cross-sector insights.

One two-day session hardly guarantees lasting collaboration among so many diverse agencies, though.

Make sure una collaborate with local volunteer groups to adapt LSSTF's tactics for everyday neighbourhood patrols.
