Simon Ekpa Says Appeal Will Show He Was Wrongly Imprisoned

Simon Ekpa says he is confident that his appeal will overturn his conviction in Finland. Ekpa, who describes himself as the prime minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, was convicted of terrorism-related offences connected to violence in Nigeria’s South-East. Speaking during appeal proceedings on August 6, Ekpa said the wrong person had been imprisoned and maintained that the truth would emerge.
