APC Chieftain Says Tinubu’s 2027 Bid Is Drawing Opposition Politicians Together
APC chieftain Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso says President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid has brought together politicians who previously held differing political views. He made the remarks after the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja. Kwankwaso said the presence of figures linked to the PDP, APGA, Labour Party and Accord Party reflected growing support for Tinubu beyond the APC. He also defended the administration’s economic reforms and argued that it should be given more time despite the hardship facing Nigerians. Kwankwaso expressed confidence that politicians in Kano would unite to support Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Murtala Sule Garo in 2027. However, the attendance of individual politicians at the campaign council does not mean their political parties have formally endorsed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
