FG Says Economic Reforms Will Soon Bring Relief to Nigerian Households
The Federal Government says Nigerians should begin to feel more benefits from its economic reforms as inflation eases, foreign reserves improve and investment interest grows. A presidential economic adviser said inflation fell to 14.63% in September, while Nigeria recorded more than $6 billion in private capital commitments during investment engagements in Thailand. He also cited GDP growth, easing interest rates and capital-market investments as signs of improvement. The government acknowledged that many households are still struggling with fuel costs and other living expenses. It said a social-protection package is being prepared for vulnerable people, including elderly citizens, children and people unable to support themselves.
