Why Is Finding a Genuine Remote Developer Job From Nigeria So Difficult?
I am a Next.js web developer, and I have been applying for remote roles nonstop for the past month without success. I build websites for local businesses and have worked on my portfolio, LinkedIn profile and networking, but I still feel stuck. I live in Benin City, and I have noticed that many roles advertised as remote still expect applicants to relocate to Lagos. I have also applied for international remote jobs, but openings that genuinely hire candidates in Nigeria seem very limited. Most of my applications are rejected within a few days. I am willing to stay consistent. What I need is a practical daily routine or roadmap that can help me improve my chances of landing a legitimate remote developer role.
