Prof. Segun Aina assumed office as JAMB Registrar on August 1, 2026, becoming the youngest person to hold the position at age 40. In his first week, he reportedly cleared more than 5,000 pending candidate complaints through the #JCare initiative, personally reviewing cases through the SERVICOM unit. He also clarified that candidates can check results, print result slips and admission letters, and monitor admission status from home through JAMB's e-facility. However, services such as O'Level uploads, email or phone-number changes, and data corrections still require biometric verification at an accredited CBT centre. On admission, Aina said candidates with strong scores may miss out when others rank higher within their admission category. Federal university admissions are allocated through Merit (45%), Catchment Area (35%) and Educationally Less Developed States, ELDS (20%). What do you think of the new registrar's approach so far?
