Plateau JAMB Candidate Abducted; Kidnappers Demand ₦20 Million Ransom
Suspected kidnappers abducted Nanmwa Turfa in Maiduna village, Bokkos LGA of Plateau State at about 5:00 a.m. on April 20. He was returning home after writing the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board exam when the attack occurred. Troops from Sector 5 of Operation Enduring Peace joined other security agencies in a search and rescue operation. Despite swift action, there has been no contact with the abductors or confirmation of Turfa’s location. The victim’s family later received a ransom demand of ₦20 million. Security presence has been reinforced in the area as efforts continue to track down the perpetrators and secure his release.
