Kano Hisbah Arrests TikToker Over Video Comparing Marriage and Fornication

The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested TikTok creator Namadina Tudunwada over a video it says encouraged fornication among young people. Hisbah officials said the video compared the cost of marriage with that of illicit sexual relationships, portraying the latter as a cheaper alternative. The board alleged that the remarks could mislead youths and promote immoral behaviour. The Deputy Commander-General of the board said the suspect is under investigation and that appropriate action will be taken in line with the law. Hisbah also warned social media creators against sharing content it considers contrary to moral and religious values.
