I Turned Ayra Starr’s “Starrgirl” Tracks Into Fashion Mood Boards
I have had Ayra Starr’s “Starrgirl” on repeat, and every track has given me a different outfit idea. From the album’s romantic moments to its bold, rebellious energy, I can already picture the looks I would wear for each mood. For “Ms. Paper”, I am choosing a short skirt, boots, full glam and statement accessories for a proper night-out look. “Misunderstood” calls for a more relaxed outfit: wide-leg trousers or a maxi skirt, Sambas, headphones and soft, minimal makeup. “Heaven Baby” deserves a dreamy gown, sparkling jewellery and main-character romance. For “Amazing”, I would go with a sultry lace or satin look, while “Dangerous” needs oversized tailoring, dramatic sunglasses, gloves and a gele. “Midnight in New York” is my easy date-night outfit: cute enough for dinner and comfortable enough for an unexpected all-night adventure. The album has given me plenty of fashion moods to explore. For now, I will keep a purple gele nearby as I settle fully into my Starrgirl era.
