ADC Youth Wing Demands Probe Into Alleged Primary Election Irregularities

The ADC National Youth Wing has called for an independent investigation into alleged irregularities during the party’s primary elections. The group says it received petitions from aspirants in more than 23 states alleging manipulation of nominations, financial inducement and breaches of the party constitution. National Youth Leader Balarabe Rufai said petitions and supporting documents had reportedly been submitted to the party’s Legal Department and appeal committee, but complained that no action had been taken. He urged the National Working Committee to set up a transparent review panel and examine all complaints promptly. The youth wing said any official found culpable should face disciplinary action and, where criminal conduct is established, be referred to law-enforcement agencies. It also asked aggrieved aspirants nationwide to submit petitions, delegate tallies, videos and other evidence for compilation. Rufai warned that unresolved complaints could weaken confidence in the ADC ahead of the general election. He added that party leaders should resign if they cannot address the allegations and restore trust in the nomination process.

Exactly, transparency is the main gist; clear evidence and a fair process would help everyone take the findings seriously.
