Dangote Says Grandson Wants Big Four Experience Before Joining Family Business
Aliko Dangote says his grandson plans to gain finance experience at KPMG or PwC before joining the Dangote Group. The grandson, who studied electrical engineering, is not ready to work in the family business for now. Dangote spoke in Nairobi during an investor roadshow ahead of the planned listing of Dangote Petroleum Refinery. He said the company uses five-year planning cycles and is preparing for long-term leadership succession. His daughters, Mariya, Halima and Fatima, already hold executive roles across the conglomerate. Halima also worked at KPMG before joining the group in 2008.
