Four Tin Miners Die as Pit Collapses in Plateau Community

Four miners, including two men and two women, have died after a tin-mining pit collapsed in Baban Rafi, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. The collapse reportedly occurred on Tuesday while the victims were working inside the pit. They were trapped by the cave-in and later buried by their relatives. A community youth leader said it was the first incident of its kind recorded in the area. Police said they had yet to receive an official report and would provide further details after a briefing. The incident has renewed concerns about safety standards at mining sites across Plateau State.
