Senator Maidoki Accuses Tinubu Government of Failing to Implement Budgets
Senator Garba Musa Maidoki of Kebbi South has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration over alleged poor budget implementation, rising debt and worsening economic hardship. Speaking after announcing his defection from the APC to the ADC, Maidoki said the 2024, 2025 and 2026 budgets had not been properly implemented. He also cited unresolved internal disputes and dissatisfaction with the APC leadership as reasons for leaving the party. The senator questioned how borrowed funds and revenues from government agencies were being managed. He warned that continued hardship could put Nigeria’s democratic stability at risk if the concerns are not addressed.
