Police Rescue Two Kidnap Victims, Kill Three Suspects in Niger Forest Operation

Police in Niger State say they rescued two people who were abducted from Wako village in the New-Bussa area after a gun battle with suspected kidnappers in Wawa Forest. The victims were reportedly taken on September 10, with the abductors demanding ransom. A surveillance team and vigilante members launched a rescue operation after the case was reported. The command said the victims were freed unharmed. Three suspected kidnappers were killed, while others reportedly escaped with gunshot injuries.
