FG Begins ₦50,000 Monthly Cash Relief for Vulnerable Households

The Federal Government has started a monthly ₦50,000 cash relief programme for vulnerable households to help cushion rising food prices and living costs. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Bernard Doro said the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention is a presidential programme aimed at providing immediate support to millions of eligible Nigerians. Beneficiaries will be contacted directly by licensed digital financial service providers and paid into their bank accounts or mobile wallets. Nigerians do not need to apply, pay a fee or register through agents. The ministry also warned beneficiaries not to share their PINs or BVNs with anyone.
