Soludo Says Anambra Has Not Borrowed Since He Became Governor, Urges Support for Local Goods

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo says his administration has not borrowed money since he took office, arguing that disciplined management of available resources can deliver development without increasing debt. Speaking at the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit, Soludo said Nigeria’s economy had stabilised and was gradually improving. He urged state governments to rely less on borrowing and make better use of their revenues. He also called on Nigerians to buy more locally made goods. According to him, stronger demand for Nigerian clothing, textiles and other products could expand local industries and create millions of jobs.
