Nigerian Woman Alleges Four Years of Childhood Sexual Abuse by Family Guest

A Nigerian woman has shared her account of alleged childhood sexual abuse by a man her parents welcomed into their home in 2009. She said she was five when the man, a church keyboardist, began abusing her. She alleged that he threatened her with a knife after she told her older brother. According to her, the abuse continued until she was nine, when the man left the family home. She said her parents learned about the allegations in 2020 after her brother raised the issue during a family devotion. The woman said she is gradually recovering but still feels afraid when she hears the man’s name. She urged parents to be cautious about the people they allow into their homes.
