Former American Idol Contestant Caleb Flynn Convicted of Wife’s Murder
A jury in Miami County, Ohio, has found former American Idol contestant and music pastor Caleb Flynn guilty of murdering his wife, Ashley Flynn, at their home in February 2026. He was also convicted on eight other counts, including aggravated murder and tampering with evidence. Prosecutors said Flynn tried to stage the killing as a break-in and pointed to phone records, police footage, the crime scene and messages exchanged with a former mistress. The jury deliberated for nearly two and a half hours before returning guilty verdicts on all charges. Flynn was arrested three days after reporting that an intruder had shot his wife. He faces life imprisonment without parole, with sentencing scheduled for October 5. His lawyers said they expect to file an appeal.
