Tragic Murder–Suicide: Kenyan Soldier Kills Wife a Day After Romantic Photoshoot
On March 7, 2026, 25-year-old Kenyan soldier Daniel Mburu allegedly shot his wife, Eunice Waruguru, in their Samburu County compound before turning the gun on himself. The couple had posed for a traditional Kikuyu photoshoot just 24 hours earlier. Police recovered an AK-47 with 23 rounds, six loaded magazines, two phones, and an eight-page handwritten testament. Preliminary reports show Eunice suffered multiple gunshot wounds to her head, face, and hand, while Daniel’s fatal wound was to the head.
