Tinubu Submits NDDC’s 2026 Budget Proposal to House of Representatives

President Bola Tinubu has submitted the Niger Delta Development Commission’s 2026 statutory budget proposal to the House of Representatives for consideration and passage. The proposal was conveyed in a letter to Speaker Abbas Tajudeen and read at plenary by Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu. The President said it was prepared in line with constitutional provisions and based on the commission’s projected revenue and expenditure. According to the letter, the proposed budget prioritises youth empowerment, power supply, education, enterprise development, health, security and agriculture across the Niger Delta. Tinubu asked the House to consider and pass the proposal promptly.
