Police Rescue Two Children Found in Abandoned SUV on Abuja-Kaduna Highway

Niger State Police rescued two children aged eight and 12 after they were found inside their father’s abandoned Toyota Highlander on the Abuja-Kaduna highway. The children’s father reportedly parked outside a government school in Suleja on October 19 while he went to photocopy documents required for their admission. When he returned, the vehicle and the children were gone. Police said officers traced the vehicle during patrol and found it abandoned along the highway, with both children unharmed. The children said they had fallen asleep while waiting for their father. Investigations are continuing to identify those responsible for taking the vehicle.
