NDLEA Arrests South African Woman With 36.65kg Cocaine at Lagos Airport
NDLEA operatives have arrested a 34-year-old South African woman, Qhina Beauty, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos with 36.65kg of cocaine. The agency said she was stopped on 7 October while attempting to fly to South Africa through Doha. Officers allegedly found 30 blocks of cocaine hidden in two travel bags, wrapped in parcels and laced with dried pepper. She reportedly said she had come to Nigeria to collect the consignment and was promised R20,000 for delivering it. NDLEA said its investigation led to the arrest of a Lagos-based car dealer accused of receiving her at the airport and arranging her accommodation. In a separate operation, officers arrested a 62-year-old Nigerian-American woman arriving from Houston with 9.45kg of synthetic cannabis concealed in gift-wrapped parcels. The agency also reported further drug seizures and arrests in Lagos, Delta and Oyo states.
