Igando-Ikotun LCDA Backs Lagos 2026 Campaign Against Domestic and Sexual Violence

Igando-Ikotun LCDA has joined Lagos State to mark the 2026 Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness Campaign, themed “It Ends With Us.” The council chairman described domestic and sexual violence as a serious human rights and public health concern that affects the safety, dignity and wellbeing of residents. The council urged victims and survivors to speak up and seek support. It also said perpetrators must be held accountable, stressing that abuse should never be treated as a private family matter. The campaign calls on residents to work together towards a safer and violence-free community.
