Ebonyi PDP Rejects Alleged Resignation Letter, Says Signatory Was Never State Secretary

The Peoples Democratic Party in Ebonyi has dismissed an alleged resignation letter attributed to Ogbuefi Ifeuwabundidi Zacchaeus, describing it as false. The party said Zacchaeus was never elected as its state secretary and did not take part in the state congress that produced the current leadership. It identified Comrade Henry Ngonu as the recognised state secretary under state chairman Igwe Chukwuma. The PDP said the letter's reference to supporting Governor Francis Nwifuru's re-election raised questions about its political motive. It urged members and the public to disregard the document and said it may pursue legal or administrative action over alleged impersonation and false information.
