His comments came after Iran warned that ceasefire talks would be meaningless if Israel continued airstrikes in Lebanon. Iranian officials called the renewed operations a “blatant violation” and declared, “our fingers are on the trigger.” Iranian parliamentarian Masoud Pezeshkian condemned Israel’s strikes, saying Iran would never abandon its Lebanese allies. More than 200 people have died and around 1,000 were injured in the latest attacks. Trump, who often accuses NATO of relying too heavily on U.S. leadership, reiterated his stance as global concerns grow over the Middle East conflict.
