Zac Brown is an American country musician best known as the lead singer, guitarist and principal songwriter of the Zac Brown Band. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 31, 1978, he helped build the group into a multi-platinum act blending country, Southern rock, bluegrass, reggae, folk and pop. The band has released eight studio albums and won four Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist in 2010. Its popular songs include “Chicken Fried”, “Toes”, “Highway 20 Ride”, “Colder Weather” and “Knee Deep”. Brown also released the 2019 solo pop album, “The Controversy”. Brown was married to Shelly Brown from 2006 to 2018, and they have five children. He later married Kelly Yazdi in 2023, but the pair announced their separation in December 2025. He continues to tour and record with the Zac Brown Band.
