Nigerian Investor Opens Container-Built Art Gallery in Kigali
Nigerian businessman Akinbo Temidayo has opened The Signature Gallery, a 295-square-metre art space built from shipping containers in Kigali, Rwanda. Located in Kiyovu, Nyarugenge, the gallery features contemporary African art, portraits, sculptures, landscapes and abstract paintings. It is designed to give visitors a deeper connection to Rwanda’s creative scene and local artists. Temidayo said the space will support Rwanda’s cultural-tourism drive. Rwanda earned $685 million from tourism in 2025, with visitor arrivals rising nine per cent to 1.49 million.
