Customs Seizes ₦2.47bn Worth of Contraband, Including 2026 Range Rover, in Ogun
The Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun 1 Area Command, says it seized contraband valued at ₦2.47 billion between August 14 and September 17. The items included a 2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography P530 valued at ₦417.01 million, 1,204 bags of foreign parboiled rice, 3,893 parcels of cannabis, 428 tyres and 8,675 litres of petrol. Other seizures were second-hand clothing, used shoes and 500 litres of diesel. Customs said the interceptions were made at different locations in Ogun State through intelligence-led operations and collaboration with other security agencies. The command said it will continue to support legitimate cross-border trade while enforcing laws against smuggling and other illegal border activities.
