FG Rules Out Negotiations With Terrorists, Vows Decisive Military Response
The Federal Government says it will not negotiate or mediate with terrorists operating in Nigeria. Foreign Affairs Minister Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu stated Nigeria’s position during the African Union’s extraordinary summit on conflict prevention, terrorism and violent extremism in Luanda, Angola. She said the government believes terrorists will only respond to a firm security response, adding that Nigeria remains committed to defeating terrorism. Vice-President Kashim Shettima represented President Bola Tinubu at the meeting.
