Why Working Longer Hours May Not Grow Your Business

Working harder can keep a business running, but it does not always make it grow. You may work 14 hours daily, answer every customer, source products, negotiate prices, make deliveries and still see little progress. The problem is that effort is not the same as leverage. When every sale, decision and customer issue depends on you, the business depends on your labour. More hours may only make you busier, not more profitable. Growth starts with better systems. Create clear price lists, automate routine tasks, train staff, improve customer self-service and build repeat sales. A scalable business should keep serving customers and making sales even when you step away for a week.
