US Releases DV-2026 Green Card Lottery Selection Figures for African Countries
The United States has released DV-2026 Diversity Visa selection figures for eligible countries, covering 129,516 prospective applicants worldwide, including selectees, spouses and children. The entries were submitted during the 2024 application period. The programme offers up to 55,000 permanent resident visas annually to people from countries with historically low migration levels to the US. About 51,850 visas are expected to be available for DV-2026 after statutory deductions. African countries listed include Egypt, Algeria, Sudan, Kenya, Morocco, Cameroon, Ethiopia and Ghana. Selected applicants must complete their visa or adjustment-of-status process before September 30, 2026, or lose their eligibility. Selection does not guarantee a visa, as numbers are limited by regional and country caps.
