Eight Settlement Outposts Established in South Hebron Hills After Deadly Attack
Eight new settlement outposts are being established in the South Hebron Hills of the occupied West Bank, according to local Israeli authorities. The move follows an attack near Yehuda Junction outside Hebron that killed two Israeli soldiers. Six farms have reportedly been set up, while two additional settlements are planned. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said the initiative was part of efforts to expand and strengthen Israeli settlements in the area. Three other soldiers were injured in the attack and taken to hospitals in Jerusalem with mild injuries. Israeli forces also imposed restrictions on several nearby villages after the incident.
