Tinubu Leaves Paris for Lagos Ahead of Abiola Tribute and Political Meetings
President Bola Tinubu has concluded his working vacation in Paris and is travelling to Lagos, where he is expected to arrive later today. He will attend the Independence Day premiere of a film honouring Chief MKO Abiola, the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Iganmu. Tinubu is also scheduled to hold meetings with political leaders and associates in Lagos ahead of the 2027 elections before returning to Abuja. During the trip, he met French President Emmanuel Macron, business leaders and Femi Otedola, and witnessed an agreement for a proposed $7 billion deep seaport and marine economic zone in Ogun State.
