Kwara Teacher Still Held After Family Pays ₦12m Ransom, Kidnappers Demand ₦5m More
The family of Mohammed Abubakar Ndakpada, a teacher and farmer with the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board, says he remains in captivity despite paying ₦12 million to his abductors. Ndakpada, who lives in Lata-Nna community in Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State, was reportedly abducted by suspected bandits on July 30, 2026. His family said the kidnappers also received food, drinks and other items during negotiations. They allegedly now demand an additional ₦5 million before releasing him.
