INEC, NOA Partner to Boost Voter Education Ahead of 2027 Elections in Yobe

The Independent National Electoral Commission in Yobe has called for closer collaboration with the National Orientation Agency to improve voter education and citizen participation ahead of the 2027 general elections. During a visit to the NOA office in Damaturu, INEC said the partnership would support mobilisation strategies for residents across age groups and genders. The agencies also identified civic education, awareness of electoral guidelines and efforts to counter election misinformation as key areas of focus. The planned sensitisation activities are expected to reach communities across Yobe’s 17 local government areas, with an emphasis on informed participation, peaceful polls and responsible civic engagement.
