FirstPower and ASERC Host Public Forum to Boost Electricity Supply in Aguata and Orumba
Anambra State Electricity Regulatory Commission and FirstPower Distribution held a joint public consultation at Aguata LGA to engage residents from Aguata, Orumba North and Orumba South on power sector reforms. Officials presented draft Customer Protection and Licensing Regulations and gathered feedback on metering challenges, billing concerns and service quality. FirstPower set up a customer service desk to address requests for new connections, account reconciliations and meter installations. The Managing Directors of ASERC and FirstPower highlighted ongoing efforts to close the metering gap, repair vandalised transformers and negotiate local power generation. Community leaders pledged to protect infrastructure and support improved electricity delivery across the state.
