Midnight Attack: Gunmen Kill Two in Rumuodogo 2, Rivers State
Gunmen stormed Rumuodogo 2 Community in Emohua LGA at about 1AM on Monday, July 6. They broke into several homes and opened fire, killing two residents. A woman identified only as Monica said the attackers came from a neighbouring local government area. She described how they broke down her door, forced her and her husband outside, beat him and then shot him. She added that they spared her because she is a woman. The Rivers State Police Command confirmed the incident. ASP Blessing Agabe said investigations are ongoing to establish a motive and apprehend the perpetrators.
