Former Jockey Dies After Alleged Altercation With Brother in Northern Ireland
Former jockey Paddy Donaghy has died in hospital at the age of 39, days after an alleged altercation with his older brother in Newtownards, County Down. Police said the incident occurred at a house in Stratheden Heights on September 7 after the brothers returned from a funeral. Donaghy died in hospital on September 13. His brother, Joseph Donaghy, 46, had earlier appeared in court on a charge of causing grievous bodily harm. Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
