Gunmen reportedly abducted Dr. Jonah Ogbaji, Medical Director of Multicare Hospital in Makurdi, Benue State, at about 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. He was said to have been attending to patients when the suspects arrived in a Toyota Sienna and took him away to an unknown destination. His family has reportedly visited police stations across Makurdi in search of information. Security agencies have been urged to intensify efforts to locate him and secure his safe return.
