Police Hunt Kidnappers and Terrorists After Attacks Across Nigeria
Police have launched investigations and search operations after fresh kidnapping, banditry and armed-robbery incidents in several states. In Ogun, gunmen abducted a Chinese national and his manager at a site in Saapade. Tactical teams recovered spent ammunition and are searching nearby areas. In Rivers, four suspects were arrested over the alleged kidnapping of a 24-year-old woman, with police saying the group used dating sites to lure victims. Police also rescued an 11-year-old boy in Cross River and arrested a suspect. Separate search operations are ongoing after the abduction of a driver in Borno, a bandit attack that killed one person in Zamfara, and the killing of a commercial motorcyclist in Bauchi. Other arrests were recorded in Benue and Anambra as investigations continue into alleged clandestine activities, armed robbery and kidnapping cases.
