MDGIF Catalyses ₦1.6 Trillion Gas Infrastructure Investment Across Nigeria
The Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund says it has catalysed about ₦1.6 trillion in investment across 31 gas projects and 205 infrastructure assets. The projects include gas-processing plants, pipelines, CNG stations, LNG facilities and LPG storage. Nine CNG stations are already operating in Lagos, Abuja, Owerri and Ile-Ife. The fund says about 50 additional gas infrastructure projects are expected to reach pre-commissioning stage before the end of 2026. The investments are intended to expand gas access for transport operators, industries and households.
