Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem as King
In Matthew 21:1–11, Jesus sends two disciples to fetch a donkey and its colt. He rides into Jerusalem, fulfilling prophecy. As he enters, crowds lay their cloaks and tree branches on the road. They shout “Hosanna to the Son of David” and “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” The city is stirred and asks, “Who is this?” The crowd answers, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”
