Apapa Customs Collects Record ₦28.1bn Revenue in One Day
The Nigeria Customs Service, Apapa Area Command, says it collected a record ₦28.1 billion in revenue within 24 hours on 18 August 2026. The figure surpasses its previous daily record of ₦20.1 billion set in September 2025. The command said the milestone follows its ₦323 billion revenue collection in July. It attributed the results to improved compliance, trade facilitation, intelligence-led operations and digital Customs processes. Area Controller Emmanuel Oshoba said Customs revenue supports public services such as infrastructure, security, education and healthcare. He urged officers to sustain professionalism and transparency while ensuring legitimate trade is not unnecessarily delayed.
