Davido Invited by FCID Over Alleged US$50,000 Performance Contract Dispute
Davido has been invited by the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex in Alagbon, Lagos, following a petition over an alleged breach of a performance agreement. Muse Ariyoh, owner of Loud by Mami Chula, alleged that the singer was paid US$50,000 to perform and promote the venue’s official opening. The event was later postponed because of reported technical issues. The petition claims Davido acknowledged receiving US$30,000 and refunded only US$5,000, leaving an alleged US$45,000 unpaid. The complainant also alleged intimidation and requested police protection. The invitation is part of an ongoing investigation and is not a finding of guilt. Davido and Snapcode Africa Nigeria Limited had not publicly responded at the time of the report.
